REMIX EVENT: BYOTT

 This years BYOTT event has a caveat that allowed 6 card slots permitted for generics, this means finishing move Savage Beatdown and some staple tech options were on the menu... and it also allowed for search options for teams that may have search but not team stamped. Green Lanterns, for example.

Wesley has a problem. He has this hole deep in his soul, that is shaped like Nth metal in a Lost City deck. I know... I've tried to get him the help he needs. Shit, the help my close, personal friend DESERVES, but at this point it's obsession. Addiction even. I try to give him that tough love he needs but the second my back is turned, he's shimmying out the open car window doing an awkward tuck and roll straight into an Nth metal van heading for the projects for his fix.
Wes is a dreamer you see. He loves to tech 1-off cards as if he has the ability to search for them in a pinch. (He doesn't) Look bro I didn't want to do this. Want resource hate? Batman, founding member. Now you don't need that random 1 copy of have a blast and can run that second Flametrap you desperately need. for... I dunno, CONSISTENCY. Only human felt forced although I am certain it had its moments, an easy cut for a 4th nth metal.

But no Wes. you are riding the Nth metal speed ball of destiny, chicken frickin to the Nth degree. You don't have time for things like, fine tuning!

So Alexander Hancock has this nasty habit of finding horrifying game imbalance and only unleashing them at events. In this case he handed off this concoction to Ankit, who as we all know is a really uh... talented...?  and um... an original deckbuilder.

I kid bud. truly. I'll save all my heat for Darius anyway.

So anyway, this deck produces and Infinite attack Bart Allen thanks to Barry Allen's effect text. In short whenever Barry attacks you can ready him at the expense of dealing breakthrough. But if you make him unstunnable for the TURN using outrun death... well he can just swing forever. Meanwhile... Bart is hitting ungodly attack values watching the unstunnable barry swing into the same 5 drop 32,491,527 times before sending an unreinforcable swing at a squishy target... like Doomsday 8 drop. I mean... that guy is big but he's about 32,491,507 DEF too low for that 2 drop Bart doing the greatest impression of a Final Flash attack the world has ever seen.

Note that the next patch will revert Barry to the speedster keyword. But hey It was fun while it lasted, right?

Taking a free crossover of revenge Squad and Brotherhood allows 8x +1 ATK ongoing pumps. Threatening a wildly inappropriate amount of damage considering Doomsday in an ongoing build might be the greatest 5 drop to exist in Remix. Of course we see POlitical Pressure here since it is fetchable by toyman, and Lex just turns off rush lists on 7 demanding all to pay sweet sweet tribute to his awesome power. (Tribute is offering sweet defeat)
No Banshee's here though... golly... I sure hope we don't see really clutch 1 drops in this event. Like Alfreds... or Atom Smashers, or Currs.

Cesar makes it rain in Remix. I mean I'm sure he feels innocent but somehow He produces lists that put a target on his back. In short. If Darius had spent more than 15 minutes on his list... I honestly feel this is where he might have ended up. So illustrating it would be kind of like:
Cesar = Darius³ (provided Darius is not a negative number).

And if you feel like I am just absolutely dumpstering poor Darius here, I kind of am. But he can take it.

So Cesar elected to forfeit ever having a hand again from around turn 3-4 onwards to toss as many currs as humanly possible with the biggest ATK stat he could manage. Babs is a degent enough +1 while getting currs to the KO pile, and the commissioner Gordon 4 drop is just a license to print money. Also wins. He just needs to dodge the remix Political Pressure. or a perfectly timed Flametrap. Those hurt.

And look Darius! three copies of Details Matter! Mark that one down good sir.

Have you ever had a breakthrough idea just... so cool you drop everything else and just... HAVE to build it? We've all been there. Now imagine you are on a deadline the night before and it happens to you. And then imagine you are farming overtime hours running a truck into the LA fires.

First off, Darius is a classy classy dude. I have never once heard a complaint and the one time i did... the replay showed a glitch in the matrix.
Secondly, the dude comes to play. He won the last remix event on the back of a killer weaveworm deck that had the entire playgroup wish they had added flametraps.

But this late abortion of a deck... please valued reader. DO NOT BUILD THIS DECK. The concept is sound, but Gotham Knights with Alfred and not a single Plot Twist negate? 70 cards in the deck?

We here at the Onyxweapon VS Blog do our absolute darndest to bring you the top contenders for Remix Goodness with a good ole dollop of southern charm and dark-ass humor. We realize that nothing about this list is really contender worthy, or viable. I mean it is legitimately possible that 60 GCPD officers as a submitted deck might have done better than this.
It certainly couldn't do worse.

But we here at the Onyxweapon VS Blog also salute our heroes. Those overcaffeinated crazies that go towards the fire, because they have the ability to help, and if that means a heat tan and some melted tires, well so be it. So kudos to you sir. You have my respect and that aint nothin.

For this event I was looking for synergy. and my favorite often became Djinn on 2 into Roy + Righteous revenge on 3 then ride revenge all the way into the curve-stunning wonderland of bad decisions and judgmental friends that it can become. Fun fact though. It never happened once. No instead we rode by the seat of our pants pretty much every game and prayed for the perfect wombo. Most games were stolen on the back of the ridiculousness that is Artemis, (No seriously read her wording... ONE more time.) Other good time wins were like when Jackson Hyde started refetching political pressures during a curr abuse list. Yeah that one stung i think. I am absolutely certain it was a nice guy though. Pretty certain.
