"The most resilient golden-age deck"
And I suppose, my answer shocked him a bit.
"I think toolboxes will always prove the best in multi-faceted situations, provided the player is skilled enough. If you lose playing a good toolbox, it's never the deck's fault, just your own. I like that."
"oh... ok."
Perhaps he was expecting me to glorify our holy masters TNNB, but to be fair he didn't ask what the winning-est deck or even wht the best deck was, he asked my opinion about the most resilient one.
(As I don't presently have his permission I will simply refer to this person from here on as... Dave. Should he desire to make himself known, I will gladly update related posts and correct the information.)
- "So..." Dave mused (or at least I imagine he did as it was all in a facebook chat, and emotes only get you so far.) "Why don't we put things to the test? You prep the most-golden-age-ically busted toolbox, and I will throw a broken Golden age king at it to test its worth."
I could just picture him Dole-ing out an evil laugh in-front of his computer.
Exactly like this. |
"Council ban/errata list Golden?" I continued "And what constitutes a Golden-Age King?"
- "Council list applies. And I will play a variant of either any deck that won a large event or is listed RIGHT HERE. Your toolbox won't know what it is prepping against.
"Sounds good. Give me a few days."
Now to prep. I'll post more as I go. Don't let me down here Dave, I want this to be good.
