Aaron wins the flip and opts to take odd initiatives
Both players keep.
TURN 1 (Aaron initiative)
DRAW PHASE
(Both Players draw 2 cards)
BUILD PHASE
Aaron Sets a resource and recruits Doop, forward observer
Steph sets a resource and recruits Lizard, voracious predator
COMBAT PHASE
Aaron sends Doop into Lizard for a mutual Stun.
RECOVERY PHASE
Aaron recovers Doop.
Steph recovers Lizard

TURN 2 (Steph Initiative)
DRAW PHASE
(Both Players draw 2 cards)
BUILD PHASE
Steph sets a resource and recruits Vermin, sewer rat in the front row along side of Lizard.
Aaron sets a resource and passes.
COMBAT PHASE
Lizard reveals and places Circle Defense into Steph's hand. (Losing 3 endurance)
Steph attacks with vermin and Lizard direct.
Aaron Passes.
RECOVERY PHASE
Juvenile Crime -> 46 The Lonely Conqueror -> 45
TURN 3 (Aaron Initiative)
DRAW PHASE
(Both Players draw 2 cards)
BUILD PHASE
Aaron sets a resource, and recruits Kang, kang cobra, flipping up Forbidden Loyalties discarding Kang, kang ransom to team-up Kang council and X-Statix and placing a +1/+1 counter on Doop.
Steph sets a resource and recruits Kole protected by Lizard before flipping up Generation Next, teaming up Teen Titans and Sinister Syndicate.
COMBAT PHASE
Lizard reveals Generation Next, placing it into Steph's hand.(losing 2 endurance)
Aaron attacks with Doop into Lizard stunning it. (Steph reinforces with Kole) Aaron then sends Kang into vermin fipping up forbidden loyalties discarding a truth and justice to place a +1/+1 counter on Kang, stunning vermin. and triggering Doop's burn of 1. Steph opts to ko Vermin, putting one from her hand into play exhausted.
RECOVERY PHASE
Steph recovers Lizard.

TURN 4 (Steph Initiative)
DRAW PHASE
(Both Players draw 2 cards)
BUILD PHASE
Steph sets a resource and recruits Holly Granger <> Hawk, avatar of chaos into the front row, grabbing Dawn Granger<>Dove, avatar of order next to her. then passes her build.
Aaron sets a resource, and recruits Kang, scarlet Centurion in the hidden area.
COMBAT PHASE
Lizard reveals the Vault, placing it into Steph's hand.(losing 1 endurance)
Steph team swings everything except Kole direct for 10.
Aaron sends Doop into Dove stunning it and triggering doops additional 1 endurance burn for dealing breakthrough. Then sends the 3 drop Kang into Lizard. Kole exhausts to Generation Next's effect, granting all her characters flight and range and plays cover fire. Bricking the attack.
Aaron then sends Kang 4 into Lizard finally stunning it and triggering Doop's effect again.
RECOVERY PHASE
Steph recovers Lizard, KOing Dawn.

TURN 5 (Aaron Initiative)
DRAW PHASE
(Both Players draw 2 cards)
BUILD PHASE
Aaron sets a resource and recruits Kang, the Conqueror in the visible support row.
Steph sets and flips the Vault, recruiting Garth, protected by Vermin.
COMBAT PHASE
Lizard reveals Terra, placing it into Steph's hand.(Losing 4 endurance)
Kang, the conqueror's effect triggers, moving him into the hidden area, exhausting him and Targetting Garth to exhaust. Steph chains Generation Next's effect, exhausting Garth.
Aaron sends Doop into Lizard. Steph exhausts Kole to play Circle Defense from her row. Aaron responds, activating Kang 4, moving him visible to negate the plot twist. Lizard stuns, and doop deals 1 additional endurance loss with the breakthrough.
Nexxt Aaron sends Kang 3 into Holly Granger. Steph responds, playing Cover Fire for a whopping + 6, and uses Garth's effect, paying 3 Endurance to return Cover Fire to her hand.
Steph is forced to pass, unable to stun Kang 4.
RECOVERY PHASE
Kang 5 returns to the visible area.
Steph recovers Lizard.

TURN 6 (Steph Initiative)
DRAW PHASE
(Both Players draw 2 cards)
BUILD PHASE
Steph sets a resource and recruits Terra, tara markhov behind Holly Granger and recruits green Goblin, insanity unleashed in the hidden area. She then plays Messiah Complex from her hand unboosted to return Dawn to her hand and recruits her as well forming her in the front row.
Aaron sets a resource and recruits another Kang 5.
COMBAT PHASE
Lizard reveals Green goblin placing it into Steph's hand.(Losing 1 endurance)
Kang, the conqueror's effect triggers, moving him into the hidden area, exhausting him and Targetting Garth to exhaust. Steph responds exhausting Garth to Generation Next.
Aaron's second Kang, the conqueror's effect triggers, moving him into the hidden area, exhausting him and Targetting Terra to exhaust. Steph responds with Terra's effect, KOing the Vault to stun the hidden Kang 3.
Steph declares Green goblin, Lizard and Vermin into Kang 4 for a total team attack of 8. Aaron powers up with two Kang, ransoms, with the three dop kang stunned steph can power up and discards a green goblin. Aaron passes, with Kang stunning Lizard in the mutual trade.
Steph then team attacks Dawn, Holly and Kole direct for 7.
Aaron sends Doop into Dawn stunning her.
RECOVERY PHASE
Both Aaron's 5 drop kangs return to the visible area.
Steph recovers Dawn, KOing Lizard
Aaron recovers Kang 4, KOing kang 3

TURN 7 (Aaron Initiative)
DRAW PHASE
(Both Players draw 2 cards)
BUILD PHASE
Aaron sets a resource and recruits A third Kang 5.
Steph sets a card and recruits ray Palmer, tiny Titan in the front row of her hidden area in a tremendous underdrop. forming dawn, holly and vermin in the front row, respectively protecting Terra, Kole and Garth.
COMBAT PHASE
Aaron declares kang 4 into Holly. Steph exhausts holly to Generation next's effect and plays Circle Defense from her hand, exhausting Dawn and Vermin for +6 def. Bricking the attack.
Aaron then sends a kang 5 into Holly, Steph plays cover fire for +14 DEF bricking again.
Undaunted, Aaron sends another Kang 5 into Holly, Steph responds paying 3 endurance for Garth to get Cover fire back into her hand and bricks the attack again.
"I am pretty sure this is the definition of insanity" Aaron comments before sending Doop into Holly.
Steph laughs activates green goblins effect, stunning him to place a +1/+1 counter on Holly. Doop stuns.
Aaron then sends his final Kang 5 into Vermin. Steph reinforces, Vermin Stuns and steph opts to not activate his effect.
Steph team attacks Terra and Ray Palmer into a Kang5 with 10 attack, stunning back Terra
RECOVERY PHASE
Aaron recovers Kang 5 KOing Doop.
Steph recovers Terra, KOing Vermin and Green Goblin

TURN 8 (Steph Initiative)
DRAW PHASE
(Both Players draw 2 cards)
BUILD PHASE
Steph sets a resource and recruits Raven <> Dark Raven protecting Garth.
Aaron sets a resource, and flips up New and improved, KOing all 4 Kangs in play to New and Improved's effect. recruiting Kang, Lord of Limbo (entering play with eight +1/+1 counters on him)
he then flips up O-Force and Star of the Show (Discarding Coach, leaving him with no cards in hand)
COMBAT PHASE
Steph checks the endurance totals and ponders for several minutes. Finally she simply decides to swing with EVERYTHING into Kang! (48 total Attack) Aaron flips Kang crossroads, and plays 2 Dead Weights from the row. (A total of 33 Defense.) There is nothing Aaron can do but stun back the Raven, lamenting his inability to drawa Spin-doctoring. Raven's effect still triggers readying everything all team attackers and Steph then swings direct with Garth, Kole, terra, Holly, Dawn, and Ray for 26 direct. and playing a rejuvenation from her hand to gain 11 endurance. Then with a laugh, activates Garth to pay 3 and play it again.

POSTGAME THOUGHTS:
Aaron Thoughts:
"a Kang build with no search... not the direction i'd have taken this, but i really did like the WTF moment when I blew up everything for a huge solo Kang. I'd have liked to have actually curved out instead of playing a crapton of 5 drops."
Steph Thoughts:
"It is always fun beating the living crap out of my husband. At the end of turn 5 I was beginning to think this would be a bit of a one-sided matchup. But the defensive tricks carried the late game for me. Holly stopping four consecutive attacks was awesome!"
