        TURN 1 (JS Initiative)

    DRAW PHASE
(Both Players draw 2 cards)

    BUILD PHASE

JS sets a resource and passes.

Mark sets a resource and erecruits Lizard int eh front row.

    COMBAT PHASE

Mark sends Lizard direct for 1.

    RECOVERY PHASE

    Juvenile Crime -> 50    Prey on the Weak -> 49



        TURN 2 (Mark Initiative)

    DRAW PHASE
(Both Players draw 2 cards)

    BUILD PHASE

Mark sets ar esource and recruits Holly Granger<>Hawk, her effect bringing out Dawn Granger<>Dove and forming them all in the front row. he then plays Generation next, teaming up Sinister Syndicate and Teen Titans before playing a Legacy of Evil from his row, drawing two cards.

JS sets a resource and recruits Gypsy using her effect to look at the top 3 cards and place 1 on the top of his deck and the rest on the bottom.

    COMBAT PHASE

Lizard reveals Raven<>Dark Raven. *OUCH!* and loses 8 endurance, placing it into Mark's hand. merk then team attacks Lizard, Hawk and Dove direct for 7.

JS sends Gypsy over Dove for an easy stun.

    RECOVERY PHASE

Mark recovers Dove.

        TURN 3 (JS Initiative)

    DRAW PHASE
(Both Players draw 2 cards)

    BUILD PHASE

JS sets a resource and recruits Mammomax into the front row. Flipping up 31st Century Metropolis to team-up Brotherhood and Pirds of Prey.

Mark sets a resource, recruiting Kole in the support row protected by Hawk, and Ray Palmer in the hidden area. then forming Lizard behind Dove.

    COMBAT PHASE

Lizard's effect reveals Generation Next. Mark loses 2 endurance and places it into his hand.

Js sends Gypsy into Dove. Once legal, mark plays Circle Defense, exhausting Ray Palmer for +3 DEF. Bricking the attack.
Then Mammomax swings into dawn. Mark opts ot reinforce with Lizard and she stuns for 1.

mark passes combat.

    RECOVERY PHASE

Mark recovers Dove.

    Juvenile Crime -> 37    Prey on the Weak -> 43



        TURN 4 (Mark Initiative)

    DRAW PHASE
(Both Players draw 2 cards)

    BUILD PHASE

Mark Sets a resource and recruits Terra. forming everyone but Kole and Terra in the front row.

JS sets a resource and recruits Sabretooth, feral rage,(Discarding Crimson Commando) and substitutes mammomax for barbara Gordon, using her effect to draw.

    COMBAT PHASE

Lizard reveals Vermin, sewer rat and places it into Marks hand, losing 2 endurance.

Mark flips up Solar Tower, activating it to replace Legacy of Evil, then activates Terra, (Replacing Solar Tower) to stun Barbara Gordon before team attacking Sabretooth with everything. sabretooth stuns back Kole.

JS then attacks Lizard with Gypsy stunning it.

    RECOVERY PHASE

Mark recovers Kole, KOing Lizard.
JS recovers Sabretooth, KOing Barbara Gordon.

        TURN 5 (JS Initiative)

    DRAW PHASE
(Both Players draw 2 cards)

    BUILD PHASE

JS sets a resource and recruits Cassandra Cain in the hidden area.

Mark sets a resource and Recruits Garth forming him behind dove, Kole behind Hawk and Terra unprotected in the support row.

    COMBAT PHASE

JS sends Gypsy into Dove, Mark plays Circle Defense, exhausting Holly for +3 DEF. JS responds flipping up Savage Land, activating it on Gypsy for +5/-5. Mark respomds with Dove exhausting for Generation Next granting everyone flight and range and opts to not reinforce in the mutual stun. JS then continues sending Cassandra into Terra.
Mark plays cover fire for +8 DEF. JS reacts with Birds of a feather and a Savage beatdown both played from his hand. Mark reacts yet again with a Circle Defense played from his hand, exhausting Ray Palmer and Kole for an additional +6DEF. Bricking the attack.
FInally, JS swings Sabretooth into Terra. Mark pays 3 endurance from Garth's effect and grabs and plays a cover fire bricking this attack as well.

Mark Passes combat.

    RECOVERY PHASE

JS recovers GYpsy.
Mark Recovers DOve.

    Juvenile Crime -> 24    Prey on the Weak -> 34



        TURN 6 (Mark Initiative)

    DRAW PHASE
(Both Players draw 2 cards)

    BUILD PHASE

Mark sets a resource and recruits Vermin protecting Terra.

JS makes note of the underdrop and sets a resource and plays Call in a Favor from his row, (Discarding Barbara Gordon) to search out Dinah Laurel Lance<> Black Canary. While Mark discards a Terra to search for Green Goblin, insanity unleashed. JS then recruits Black Canary visible, behind Sabretooth.

    COMBAT PHASE

Mark exhausts Ray Palmer to grant his character fligth and range from Generation Next's payment effect. thinks for some time, and decides to pass. "No free stuns."

JS, knowing he has to overcome at least two cover fires to to any lasting damage to Mark's field presence ponders his combat phase...

Ultimately JS opts to start by sending GYpsy into Hawk. mark does some mental math and allows the attack to resolve, stunning Hawk. Then JS sends Cassandra Into Dove, prompting a cover fire from Mark's hand for +10 DEF. Remembering Kole also giving a passive +1 DEF JS allows the brick not pushing to stun.
With a cover fire out of the way, JS sends Sabretooth into Kole. Garth pays 3 endurance, replaying his cover fire for +10 (leaving Kole at 15 DEF) JS counters with a Savage Beatdown. Mark checks his face down resources and accepts the stun opting not to reinforce the single endurance breakthrough.
Js checks his facedowns and does some math.
"I guess I'm all in." He says "If you go to turn 7 I lose for sure."
JS declares Dinah into Dove, once legal, he activates Savage Land for +6/-6, then flips a second one, koing the first to uniqueness and activates it as well, for +5/-5 and then flips up a THIRD one, KOing the second, and activating it for a +4/-4 pump as well.
"That is a 26ATK 0DEF Black Canary." And this, he motions to the blind-sided he then flips up in the row. "This is me hoping you don't have any more defensive pumps."

Mark checks his hand and row again, before conceding the stun for a whopping 26 total endurance loss.

Wanting to play it out, Mark sends Terra into Sabretooth with a power-up for a mutual stun before sending Garth and vermin direct, powering up Garth once, and vermin twice. for 15 endurance loss.

    RECOVERY PHASE

    Juvenile Crime -> -14    Prey on the Weak -> 9

        Prey on the Weak advances to the top 8!

        POSTGAME THOUGHTS


Mark Thoughts:
"Three goddamn Savage Lands and a Blind-sided? are you kidding me? I was actually sort-of expecting the Blind-sided and could have Born of Blood-ed Kole back up to keep me in the positives. but three Savage Lands? Not a chance in hell. He did well forcing me to get rid of those pumps and caught me completely unprepared. It was a crazy, crazy game!"

JS Thoughts:
"Holy shit, he was so good at stopping my attacks I can't even believe it. I mean it seriously felt more like a Galactus event than a standard VS game. Staring down the barrel of two +10ish DEF pumps every single turn gets daunting. My horrible opening draws ended up saving the game for me."
