Match 1K - GangGreen VS Attilan-d a Punch

JS wins the flip and chooses to take odd initiatives

Both players keep



        TURN 1 (JS initiative)

    DRAW PHASE
(Both Players draw 2 cards)

    BUILD PHASE

JS sets a resource and recruits Sonar.

Mark sets a tresource and recruits Lockjaw, discarding a Level 12 Intelligence to search his deck for Crystal, elemetelle and places it into his hand.


    COMBAT PHASE

JS attacks direct with Sonar.

Mark attacks Sonar with Lockjaw for a mutual stun.

    RECOVERY PHASE

JS recovers Sonar.
Mark recovers Lockjaw

        TURN 2 (Mark Initiative)

    DRAW PHASE
(Both Players draw 2 cards)

    BUILD PHASE

Mark Sets a resource and recruits San in the hidden area, searching for War Room and placing it on top of his deck.

JS sets a resource and recruits Catwoman, cat o nine tails in the hidden area, exhausting Sonar to a flipped Millenium, teaming-up Emerald Enemies and Injustice Gang and drawing a card.

    COMBAT PHASE

mark attacks sonar with San, stunning him. before swinging direct with Lockjaw.

JS attacks direct with catwoman for 2 endurance gain from her effect.

    RECOVERY PHASE

JS recovers Sonar

        TURN 3 (JS initiative)

    DRAW PHASE
(Both Players draw 2 cards)

    BUILD PHASE

JS sets a resource and recruits Dr. Polaris protecting Sonar.

Mark Sets and flips War Room and recruits crystal in the visible area, chaining to her effect to play Enemy of my Enemy from the resource row discarding a second Crystal to fetch Alan Scott, golden age engineer. Crystal's effect resolves koing the resource to place Extended Family face-down in the resource row.

    COMBAT PHASE

JS attacks Crystal with Dr. Polaris. Crystal exhausts to place a strategy counter on War Room. once legal, polaris' effect targets teh unprotected San to exhaust, who also charges a strategy counter on War Room.
POlaris and Crystal both stun.
Js attacks direct with catwoman gaining 2 and activates SOnar forcing Mark to exhaust Lockjaw. mark chains another stragegy counter exhaust.

    RECOVERY PHASE

JS recovers Dr. Polaris.
Mark Recovers Crystal.

        TURN 4 (Mark Initiative)

    DRAW PHASE
(Both Players draw 2 cards)

    BUILD PHASE

Mark sets a resource and recruits Alan Scott (enters play exhausted)

JS sets a resource and plays a mobilize from the resource row, (Discarding sinestro defiant) to search for Goldface putting it into his hand. he then flips another Millenium, exhausting Sonar to team up again and draw a card. He then recruits Goldface in the support row (Discarding catwoman and Carol Ferris) adjacent to Dr. Polaris with the exhausted SOnar protecting Polaris.

Before exiting the build phase, Mark flips up Extended family to team-up Inhumans and JSA. He then exhausts Crystal, San and Lockjaw to War Room's effect (5 counters now) before flipping up Rock of Eternity.

    COMBAT PHASE

Mark's characters all ready.
Mark has San attack Sonar stunning it. (JS does not reinforce) before sending Crystal into Goldface. Once legal he activates War Room removing all 5 counters for a +5 ATK.
JS reinforces with Polaris and Goldface stuns back Crystal.
Mark then sends Alan Scott into Dr. Polaris for an easy stun before sending Lockjaw Direct.

Js opts to pass combat

    RECOVERY PHASE

JS recovers Goldface, KOing Sonar and Dr. Polaris.
Mark recovers Crystal

        TURN 5 (JS initiative)

    DRAW PHASE
(Both Players draw 2 cards)

    BUILD PHASE

JS sets a resource and plays a Mobilize from the row, (Discarding Secret Files) to put Major Force into his hand, recruiting him in the support row. and foring the hidden catwoman in the support row as well.

Mark sets a resource and underdrops Quicksilver, and Wesley Dodds <> The Sandman protecting Crystak and Alan Scott respectively.

    COMBAT PHASE

JS plays flying kick on Goldface and declares an attack on Alan Scott, once legal KOing a face-up Mobilize in the resource row to his effect, granting hm +2/+2 this attack.
Mark exhausts alan Scott to place a counter on War Room and reinforces with Crystal.
JS responds to the reinforcement playing Golden Death from the row for +1ATK and remiving reinforcement from the exhausted defender. Both players pass and Alan stuns.
Then JS plays Megablast from his hand on Catwoman and declares her into Quicksilver.(who exhausts for War room) Once legal, JS plays Trial By fire from his hand and they mutually stun (dealing 7 breakthrough). Finally JS sends Major Force (currently 10/10) into Crystal with a Megablast stunning her.

Mark exhausts Wesley, Lockjaw and San to place 3 additional counters(5 total) on War Room before readying at the start of his attack step from rock of eternity. taking a look at the endurance totals Mark opts to exhaust them for 3 additional counters (8 total) before passing.

    RECOVERY PHASE

JS recovers Catwoman.
Mark recovers Alan Scott, KOing Quicksilver and Crystal.

      GangGreen -> 29   Attilan-d a Punch -> 2



        TURN 6 (Mark Initiative)

    DRAW PHASE
(Both Players draw 2 cards)

    BUILD PHASE

Mark sets a resource, recruiting jay Harrick<>The Flash into his visible front row.

JS decides not to play a resource and recruits Major Disaster protecting Major Force. He activates his effect, discarding a flying kick to replace War room.
Mark chains to Major Disaster exhausting all 5 of his characters to war rooms effect.
War room is replaced.

    COMBAT PHASE

Mark's characters ready from Rock of Eternity.

San and Wesley Dodds team attack Major Disaster stunning him.
Jay attacks Goldface, once legal goldface KOs a face-up Mobilize from JS's resource row giving it +2/+2 this attack before letting it stun.
MArk then declares Alan Scott into Major force (Now 11/11) playing a megablast from the row for a mutual stun. Lockjaw attacks direct for 2 and Mark plays a flametrap for spite (Discarding jakeem Williams and Ted Grant) to stun Catwoman, San and Lockjaw.

    RECOVERY PHASE

      GangGreen -> 14   Attilan-d a Punch -> -5

        GangGreen Advances to the next round!



        POSTGAME THOUGHTS:

Mark Thoughts:
"I really LOVED the interaction with Rock and War Room. I wish the list ran more than 1 war room though."

JS Thoughts:
"The deck plays itself. I keep wishing it ran Empire of tears though. it would be nice to be able to go to 2 resources on turn 5 to help maximize Major Force."
