        TURN 1 (Steph Initiative)

    DRAW PHASE

(Both Players draw 2 cards)

    BUILD PHASE

Steph sets a resource and recruits Professor X, mutant benefactor and passes. she uses his effect and places a card on the bottom of her deck.

Aaron sets a resource and passes.

    COMBAT PHASE

Both pass.

    RECOVERY PHASE

        TURN 2 (Aaron Initiative)

    DRAW PHASE
(Both Players draw 2 cards)

    BUILD PHASE


Aaron sets a resource and recruits Uatu the watcher in the hidden area, (Steph's hand isOmni, Archangel, PA, Sage, The Blackbird and Power Nexus) Aaron then recruits Future technology onto Uatu. Afterwards, he flips up new Baxter Building and activates it to draw a card before passing.

Steph sets an Omni and recruits Archangel protecting professor X and uses professor X's effect putting a card on the bottom of her deckpasses.

    COMBAT PHASE

Aaron activates Uatu to burn Steph for 3.

Steph swings direct with Archangel for 2 and plays Time Breach from her row, exhausting Professor X to search out Cyclops, slim and Iceman, snowman. before discarding Power Nexus and passing.

    RECOVERY PHASE

    Fantastic Fun 2.0 -> 48    Xbox -> 47




        TURN 3 (Steph Initiative)

    DRAW PHASE
(Both Players draw 2 cards)
Steph draws Sunfire and Power nexus.

    BUILD PHASE

Steph sets a pathetic attempt and recruits Cyclops and iceman, forming Iceman and Archangel protecting Cyclops and professor X respectively before Using Prof X's effect to look at her top card. She elcts to keep this one on the top. She then passes.

Aaron sets a resource and recruits Mr Fantastic in his visible front row equipping a Pogo Plane onto him before passing.

    COMBAT PHASE

Steph team attacks Archangel and professor X into Mr. fantastic. Aaron decides to use his effect to dig for equipment, exhausting him and chaining a rowed Mobilize to his effect.(discarding Invisible Woman, invisible girl)  Mobilize resolves grabbing Invisible woman, first lady of the fantastic four, and then mr fantastic;s effect resolves (revealing  Pier 4, HUman Torch, sparky, Ultimate Nullifier and Cosmic radiation) Aaron places the Nullifier in his hand and the rest go on the bottom of his deck.

Mr. fantastic stuns. Steph weighs her options and activates iceman's effect before swinging direct with Cyclops for 3, and passing.



    RECOVERY PHASE

Aaron recovers Mr. Fantastic, but iceman's effect prevents him from readying.

        TURN 4 (Aaron Initiative)

    DRAW PHASE

(Both Players draw 2 cards)
Steph draws Bishop and Blackbird Blue.

    BUILD PHASE

Aaron recruits Invisible Woman in the hidden area and equips Ultimate Nullifier onto her. He activates New Baxter Building to draw a card and then plays The 100 Ideas from his row inspecting the bottom four cards fo his deck before claiming a Cosmic radiation, then passes.

Steph sets a resource and recruits sage. Aaron chains a rowed Child Named Valeria to the recruit. Steph then equips BlackBird Blue to sage and forms sage into the front row before using Professor X's effect, placing her top card to the bottom of her deck before passing.

    COMBAT PHASE

Aaron declares Invisible Woman into Iceman. Steph activates his effect (just in case) and he stuns. Then Aaron sends Uatu into cyclops for another 1-sided stun before passing.

Unstun-able and reinforce, Steph blinks at Aaron, letting him know she is displeased. Then she passes.

Aaron gulps loudly.

    RECOVERY PHASE

Iceman and cyclops lay stunned. Steph goes into the tank and eventually decides that Cyclops is the priority. Recovering Cyke and KOing Iceman.

        TURN 5 (Steph Initiative)

    DRAW PHASE

(Both Players draw 2 cards)

Steph draws fastball special and Birthing chamber.

    BUILD PHASE

Steph sets a resource and flips Omnipotence. Aaron chains Mr fantastic, then Uatu, then chains Pogo PLane's effect (discarding Salvage)
Pogo resolves fetching Pier 4, uatu burns Steph for 3, and mr fantastic resolves (revealing Invisible woman, a child named valeria, a clash of worlds and new Baxter Building. and Finally Omni resolves.

Steph calls Cosmic Radiation.
"well that's going to make things interesting."

Steph then recruits Bishop in her support row, searching her deck for Wild Child and recruiting Wild Child protecting Cyclops before equipping Professor X with The Blackbird. with wild child protecting Cyclops, Archangel protecting prof X and Sage protecting Bishop Steph then flips and activates birthing Chamber, drawing Sage and Blink(discarding Sage, earth 616) and passes.

Aaron sets and flips Pier 4 and plays the 100 ideas from his hand. grabbing A child named Valeria and playing it immediately. Steph chains Power Nexus from her hand, exhausting Cyclops, Bishop and Professor X to stun Mr. Fantastic. then Child resolves. Aaron then recruits Human Torch, and equips a Future Tech onto Invisible Woman before drawing a card to new baxter building.

    COMBAT PHASE

With an unstun-able reinforced Human Torch in the way, Steph passes.

Aaron activates Uatu to burn Steph for 3, then Invisible Woman to do the same before finally activating Human Torch to burn for 5.

Both pass to the recovery phase.

    RECOVERY PHASE


Aaron recovers Mr. Fantastic.

        TURN 6 (Aaron Initiative)

    DRAW PHASE

(Both Players draw 2 cards)

Steph draws Shadowcat, phae shifter and Dazzler, allison blair.

    BUILD PHASE

Aaron plays Mobilize from his hand (Discarding Cosmic Radiation) to search out Human Torch, sparky. and sets a resource. Then He plays A Clash of worlds from his hand, calling Human Torch and recruits a second Sparky in his support row, before recruiting Thing, idol o millions protecting the new Torch He then passes to Steph.

Steph sets a fastball special, and then activates Birthing chamber Drawing Warp Shards and Cable (discarding Sunfire) She then recruits Dazzler in her visible support row unprotected, before recruiting Blink in her hidden area (rallying into a Blink, shifting it with 1 shift counter) and recruits Shadowcat protecting Blink in the hidden area before playing Power nexus from her row (exhausting prof X, dazzler, Bishop and Blink) and targeting Invisible Woman for the stun.
Aaron flips and chains Four Freedoms Plaza from his row, activating it to search his deck for a card.
Once Four Freedoms resolves, Aaron chains A child Named Valeria to the Power Nexus preventing Invisible Woman's stun.

Steph then shifts Blink into play, KOing the first to uniqueness. It triggers rallying into Lockheed, shifting it with 1 counter. Steph also shifts that into play. Finally she spends he last 3 resources and recruits Cable. His effect triggers and Aaron decides not to use Ultimate Nullifier to negate it.

Aaron takes 11.

Finaly Steph forms lockheed behind Wild Child, Professor X behind Sage, Bishop behind Archangel, and cyclops behind Cable with Dazzler adjacent to Cyclops and pushes both her hidden characters into the front row.

    COMBAT PHASE

Aaron sends invisible Woman into Sage for a stun, then sends Thing into professor X stunning him and KOing The Blackbird. he then sends Mr. Fantastic into Wild Child. Steph reinforces with Lockheed. Beyonder goes into Archangel for a stun, and finally Aaron activates Both Human Torches for 12 endurance loss. Steph plays PA negating one and only recieves 6.

Steph indicates Aaron is not welcome in her bed and muses about how he should make other arrangements before playing Warp Shards on Invisible Woman. Shifting her from the game with 3 shift counters but sending all her equipment to the KO pile.

    RECOVERY PHASE

Steph recovers Sage, KOing Wild Child, Archangel and Professor X.

        TURN 7 (Steph Initiative)

    DRAW PHASE

(Both Players draw 2 cards)
Steph draws Longshot and fastball special.

    BUILD PHASE

Steph activates Birthing Chamber, drawing Omnipotence and Birthing Chamber(discarding Birthing Chamber) And sets Omnipotence, immediately flipping it face up. Aaron goes to chain Four Freedoms Plaza and Steph reminds him there is no Invisible Woman in play.
Aaron opts to chain Mt Fantastic's effect, both Human Torches And Uatu's Future tech.
The chain resolves burning steph for 3, for 6 for 6 and Mr fantastic triggers (Revealing Namorita, Invisible Woman, Thinking outside the Box and Cosmic radiation) missing, heplaces them on the bottom of his deck.

Steph calls A child named Valeria.

Then Steph recruits Longshot and calls warp shards, (rallying into Danger Room, Omnipotence and pathetic Attempt) She forms everything she has into the front row, then passes.

Aaron sets and flips a Mobilize (Discarding Cosmic radiation) to search out Mr. Fantastic, Stretch. He then Shifts Invisible Woman back into his hidden area and activates Four Freedoms Plaza grabbing a card.

Aaron then plays A Clash of Worlds, calling out Mr. Fantastic and recruits Stretch and a second 2 cost Reed Richards. Paying 2, Aaron moves Future tech onto Mr fantastic, activating him to burn Steph for 3. he then pays 2 again, moving future tech onto the readied Stretch, activating him to burn Steph for 3. He pays 2 again, moving future tech onto Thing, again burning for 3 and finally uses it one final time, paying 2 to move Future tech onto Invisible Woman, activating her to deal 3 more damage to Steph and they both pass to combat.

    COMBAT PHASE

Steph plays Fastball Special from her hand, (exhausting Dazzler and Blink) to stun Stretch.

Then she sends Lockheed into the Human Torch protected by Thing for a mutual stun. She follows up with Shadowcat into Thing for another mutual stun. Then Bishop into Mr. fan foranother mutual stun.
She then sends Longshot into Human Torch for another mutual stun followed by Cable into Mr. fantastic for a 1-sided stun and finally, she then declares a team swing direct attack with Sage and  Cyclops for 16.

    RECOVERY PHASE

    Fantastic Fun 2.0 -> -12    Xbox -> -16


Fantastic Fun Wins!



Thoughts:

Steph - Have I ever told you just how much I HATE Child Locks? In retrospect I would have formed differently the turn I had to choose between iceman and Cyclops but I didn't expect That many childs in a row.

Aaron - Iceman hurts so bad. Seeing her hand and knowing sage was up next I had to force her to decide between her cyclops buff and Iceman. I was fully prepared to lean on child and just play offense if Iceman stayed. Who is to say how that might have ended? it is interesting to note though, that the Mr fantastic equipment shuffle is what prevented the tie.
