Both players mulligan.


        TURN 1 (Josh Initiative)

    DRAW PHASE
(Both Players draw 2 cards)

    BUILD PHASE

Josh sets a resource and passes.

Aaron sets and flips Wild Ride, searching dagger (losing 1 endurance) and discarding dagger to grab a Midnight sons. he recruits Micro-chip in his front row and passes.

    COMBAT PHASE

Aaron attacks direct for 1.

    RECOVERY PHASE

        TURN 2 (Aaron Initiative)

    DRAW PHASE

(Both Players draw 2 cards)

    BUILD PHASE

Aaron sets a resource and flips up Midnight Sons Teaming-up Marvel Knights and Gotham Knights and recruits Alfred protected by Microchip and passes.

Josh sets a resource and recruits Poison Ivy, deadly rose in his visible front row and passes.

    COMBAT PHASE

Aaron passes.

Josh sends Poison Ivy into Microship for a stun.

    RECOVERY PHASE

Aaron recovers Microship.

        TURN 3 (Josh Initiative)

(Both Players draw 2 cards)

    BUILD PHASE


Josh sets a resource and plays The Usual Suspects from his hand fetching The Penguin and Mad-Hatter (he then randomly discards Mad Hatter and Poison Ivy) he follows up playing a rowed enemy of my Enemy (discarding The Penguin) to search out Scarlet Witch, wanda Maximoff. Penguin's effect triggers and Josh removes it from play to return Mad-Hatter to his hand. recruiting it and paying 1 resource point to  steal Microchip. Aaron chains Alfreds effect, returning it to his hand, and then chains Microchip's effect, KOing it to flip down a 1 cost Plot twist.

The chain resolves and Aaron's Wild Ride is flipped face down. Alfred searches out Utility Belt, and Mad-Hatter no longer has a target.
Josh passes.

Aaron sets a resource and recruita alfred. He then flips up Midnight Sons, teaming-up Marvel Knights and Fantastic 4. He then plays his rowed Wild Ride and searches out Invisible Woman, losing 1 endurance. he recruits her protecting Alfred and then plays Enemy of my enemy (discarding Caliban) to fetch Black Panther, vibranium vogue. recruiting it in his hidden area and equipping Invisible woman with utility belt. Josh decides after some debate that it will be best to chain Poison Ivy's effect to the equipment recruit and KO's Mad-Hatter to KO the rowed enemy and fetch an Avalon Space Station and set it in his resource row.

Both players pass.

    COMBAT PHASE

Josh sends Poison Ivy into Invisible Woman. Aaron decides to allow the stun. Josh passes.

Aaron passes.

    RECOVERY PHASE

Aaron recovers Invisible Woman.

        TURN 4 (Aaron Initiative)

    DRAW PHASE
(Both Players draw 2 cards)

    BUILD PHASE


Aaron first plays bat-Signal from his hand, exhausting Invisible Woman to search for Dagger, discarding dagger to ultimately fetch, set and flip a midnight sons, teaming up marvel Knights and Fearsome 5. he then activates Alfred to search for a Wild ride. spinning alfred back to his hand, and plays the Wild ride to grab Shimmer (losing 2 endurance). he then recruits Shimmer in his visible front row and recruits Alfred behind her. he then recruits an Ultimate Nullifier on Black Panther and a War Wagon onto Shimmer.
Aaron passes.

Josh sets a resource and recruits The Joker, Headline stealer into play in his front row adjacent to Poison Ivy. Aaron considers his options for a moment and chains Death of the Dream, exhausting Black Panther to replace his own Wild Ride.

Both players pass.

    COMBAT PHASE


Aaron activates Shimmer, Josh feigns having the PA and seems to decide against it, passing and allowing his characters to exhaust.
"If you have it, play it. I can't imagine any reason not to."

Both players pass to recovery.

        TURN 5 (Josh Initiative)

    DRAW PHASE
(Both Players draw 2 cards)

    BUILD PHASE


Josh sets a resource and recruits Scarlet Witch.
Aaron chains to her recruit, activating Alfred, to search for a Catcher's mitt.

Once Scarlet Witch is in play, Josh Flips up 31'st Century metropolis teaming up Brotherhood and Arkham Inmates. He then flips up Avalon Space Station and then forms Scarlet witch protected by The Joker with Poison Ivy adjacent to Joker.

Aaron sets and flips a Wild Ride, searching out Mr. Fantastic and losing 2 endurance. he recruits Mr Fan behind Shimmer and recruits Alfred, he then recruits Catcher's Mitt to Mr fantastic, and taking inventory of his hand size (4 cards) recruits an additional Alfred, KOing the first to uniqueness. This allows Aaron to finally play A Child Named Valeria from his hand to secure his board presence for the turn.

Both players pass.

    COMBAT PHASE

Josh investigates his face down resources and his hand. With no clear means to remove reinforcement from the unstunnable lineup, he passes.

with 4 unstunnable characters, Aaron opts to try to deal a bit of damage, declaring black Panther, and Mr. fantastic into Poison Ivy. Josh flips up Lost City and discards a Mystique to shoot Ivy to 6/6 and avoids the stun. Josh follows up with an Avalon activation (discarding Mystique) to return Mystique and Mad-Hatter to his hand.

Aaron passes.

    RECOVERY PHASE

        TURN 6 (Aaron Initiative)

    DRAW PHASE
(Both Players draw 2 cards)

    BUILD PHASE


No matter how he works it, This turn is going to hurt. Aaron activates Alfred (losing 5 endurance from Scarlet Witch) to search out Common Cause.
He sets a resource and recruits Roy Harper, and recruits Alfred protecting Roy. (2 resource points remaining) Then Aaron flips up Common Cause (exhausting Roy and Mr. Fantastic, crossing over, Marvel Knights, Gotham Knights, Fantastic 4, Fearsome 5, and Teen Titans onto a single Team-up. aaron recruits Alfred protecting Roy, then passes.

Josh sets a resource and recruits Magneto, eric lehnsherr protected by Poison Ivy and passes.

    COMBAT PHASE

Aaron activates Shimmer to exhaust Josh's field (losing 5 endurance from Scarlet Witch) Josh plays a rowed Pathetic Attempt, negating it.
Undaunted, aaron plays press teh Attack from his hand, readying Shimmer and tries her effect again. (losing another 5) With no response, Josh exhausts his field.

Aaron Passes.

Josh passes.

        TURN 7 (Josh Initiative)

    DRAW PHASE
(Both Players draw 2 cards)

    BUILD PHASE


josh sets a resource and plays Straight to the grave from his hand (sending Human Torch) he then flips up Slaughter Swamp and activates it (discarding mad-Hatter) to grab Torch and recruits it protecting Scarlet Witch in his visible front row.

"well shit."

Aaron goes into the tank, and sets and flips a rowed Enemy of my Enemy, (Discarding Invisible Woman) to search out Dr. Light.
Aaron recruits Dr. Light protected by Invisible Woman and activates ALfred (losing 5 endurance) spinning him to his hand grabbing A Child Named Valeria, and then recruits Alfred once again, protecting Roy.

    COMBAT PHASE

Magneto triggers, exhausting Roy. Black Panther uses Ultimate Nullifier to negate magneto's triggered effect.

Josh declares HUman Torch into Dr. Light. Dr Light exhausts to give Roy +2 Atk (6 total) and stuns.

Josh then declares Joker into Alfred to force the Child and Aaron obliges him playing Child from his hand (2 cards remaining in hand).

Josh passes.

Aaron exhausts Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman to Roy's effect (10 ATK total) and declares roy into The Joker. Josh powers up with a Mystique and activates Avalon (discarding Mystique) to grab 2 Mystiques. and decides to pass, remembering that Human torch protects him from a war wagon, allowing the stun.

    RECOVERY PHASE

Josh recovers The Joker.

Aaron Recovers Dr. Light.

        TURN 8 (Aaron Initiative)

    DRAW PHASE
(Both Players draw 2 cards)

    BUILD PHASE


Aaron sets a resource, and recruits Garth in his support row and plays a rowed Wild ride to search out and recruit Microchip (losing 1 endurance) he forms up with his visible support row as:
Light, Mr fan, Garth and Roy respectively protected by Invisible Woman, Shimmer, Alfred, and Micro-chip Before passing.

Josh sets a resource and flips and activates genosha. Drawing 4 cards.
He then recruits Blob, Fred Dukes and then recruits Mad-hatter, using Mad-hatter's effect to target Mr. Fantastic. Aaron responds, playing Ultimate Nullifier to negate it losing 5 endurance. Josh then prioritizes protecting Scarlet witch forming her behind Blob. Forming human Torch, protecting magneto, and forming Ivy protecting Mad-Hatter whith Joker unprotected up front.

    COMBAT PHASE

Aaron declares Roy into Human Torch. Once legal he exhausts mr. Fan,  Microchip, Dr. light, Invisible Woman and Shimmer and Alfred putting Roy up to 16 ATK.
"Gah, bad formation."

Josh plays enemy of my Enemy (discarding Aunt May) to search for Mystique and discards two Mystiques to put Human Torch at 19/18. Aaron  responds playing Cosmic radiation from his hand Readying every exhausted character and exhausts Mr. Fan for 18 ATK on Roy.

Josh discards his two Mystiques on Human Torch going to 25/24, Aaron exhausts invisible woman, black Panther and Microship to match, and also plays a Child from his row.
"Remember that replace effect on myself?"
Josh flips and activates another Genosha from his row, drawing 4 cards.
he then powers up human Torch again with Poison Ivy going to 28/27
Aaron responds exhausting Alfred and roy to put Roy at 28ATK. Finally Josh can't power-up anymore and Human Torch stuns.

Aaron goes deep into the tank. complete with scrap paper for match and diagrams.
Eventually, heplays Only Human on Poison Ivy. Josh ponders it for a moment. and decides to chain ivy's effect to KO Human Torch, (*Koing her rowed PA to fetch an Avalon) once it resolves,he activates Dr. Light targeting Scarlet Witch, stunning her and Losing 5 Endurance. Continuing, he activates War Wagon to Scarlet Witch and burn Josh for 5.

Aaron surveys the board, and uses Garth's effect to pay 3 and fetch a cosmic Radiation from his KO pile. He plays it. Readying all his exhausted characters. He activates Dr. Light, stunning Magneto. and activates Roy, (koing a rowed Wild Ride) to stun The Joker.
Shimmer War Wagon chops down magneto for 5 more and Black Panther, Invisible Woman, mr. fantastic, and Microchip to give Roy 8 more attack (36 total)

Aaron activates Alfred, spinning it to his hand to search out a Cosmic Radiation and plays it readying his exhausted characters.

he activates dr Light to stun Blob and Roy (KOing a rowed Child) activates to stun Poison Ivy.

Aaron then declares an attack into Mad Hatter with his Garth, (still unaffected by Cosmic radiation) Once legal, Josh flips up his second Avalon (KOing the first to Uniqueness) and activates it (discarding Blob) to fetch Two Mystiques to his hand.
Aaron chains Invisible Woman's Utility Belt to negate the Avalon. And Garth stuns Mad hatter.

Both players pass.

    RECOVERY PHASE

    Migga City -> -6    Both Guns Blazing -> 0

Both Guns Win!



Thoughts:

Josh -  If I had honestly thought i'd be dead the same turn I had a Human Torch in play with 10 drop stats I'd have formed him Behind Blob. But I was absolutely certain Scarlet witch was the priority. He got lucky when two genoshas popped and i still didnt see a PA. No doubt that would have changed everything.

Aaron - I didn't win so much as Josh lost. A formation decision that could have been better thought through and some bad luck drawing PA's is what gave me the opening I needed.
That said. I'm certainly not complaining.
